Boudoir Teaser

Haven't posted in a while! I've been busy...which I have to say is a good thing! I do have more pics of Maya to post, however, I wanted to show some shots of a boudoir session I did this past week! This was my first boudoir shoot and I think I did pretty good!

"J" was a dream to work with! She pretty much gave me full reign and trusted everything I did which I totally appreciated! She was also gracious enough to let me post these pictures!

Almost 2

I CANNOT believe my baby is almost 2! I still remember when I used to hold her in my arms and feed her from a bottle....now she will barely let me hold her for 2 seconds! Sometimes I wish she was still drinking from a bottle just so I can hold her.

I have two friends who are having babies within the next few months. My advice to them....cherish, love, enjoy, and try to remember every moment you have with your baby.....as the cliche' saying goes....it goes by so fast! UGH! I used to hate it when everybody told me that two years ago! Now here I am passing the same advice on! Let me give MY own advice.....take LOTS and LOTS of pictures! Document everything because that is all you will have besides your memory. And if your memory is like mine, then you will be searching deep within to try to remember her the way she WAS...

Mary

Mary is my best, oldest and dearest friend! We grew up together since the age of 2! People tell me that it is very rare to still be friends with people for that long, but Mary and I think that is pure nonsense! She is one person that I know will be in my life forever!

Mary is expecting her first child (a girl!) in late August! Maya and I cannot wait! We are anxiously awaiting her arrival!

We did a quick shoot today...appropriately on Mother's Day! Welcome to the club, Mary!

Do you think Maya is going to hate having her picture taken later on in life? I sure hope not! I think I have the best subject to practice on!

Egg Hunt

This was the first Easter Maya was able to hunt for eggs. Last year she was only 10 months old AND she was sleeping! Once she saw what the other kids were doing, she got the hang of it and filled her basket with eggs! She was so excited! She wasn't in the best of moods starting out because of her hurt lip, but that all changed once she started the hunt!

She has also learned how to climb this tree we have in our front yard. She'll climb up it and just stand there are look around! It's the cutest thing!

Hope everyone had a great Easter! Our day started off rainy then Maya fell and hurt her lip and was not in the mood to do anything. Poor baby was shocked from her horrendous fall! I was just as shocked from all the blood! :(

Because of the gloomy, rainy weather, we thought that we'd have to do our easter egg hunt indoors, but lo and behold, just as I said in my previous post.....HOUSTON WEATHER IS UNPREDICTIBLE! The sun was shining by late afternoon and we had a wonderful late lunch with neighbors and the kids really enjoyed their hunt AND Maya was a happy girl once again!

Anyways, here was my contribution to Easter lunch.....egg basket cupcakes! I got this idea from a blog I frequent. The lady in charge goes by the name Bakerella (bakerella.com) Go and check out her stuff. She does AMAZING things with cakes, icing and candy!

I love this time of year. Although, Houston weather is severely unpredictable! Some days it's rainy, some cold, some unbearably hot and others, like today, perfect!

Maya and I take advantage of perfect days like this! We have to because we don't know what tomorrow will bring!
